We went trick-or-treating to Grandma Penny's work. It was fun but we were sad that we barely missed Grandma, she had gone home for the day.

We knew were wouldn't have time to visit Grandpa and Grandma Walker on Halloween, so we went to visit them a few days before. They bought us pizza and we made caramel apples. It was really fun!

Grandpa Walker loved Alexa's cowgirl hat, he couldn't resist.

I made this cake for my Relief Society sisters. They asked me to do the spotlight and bring objects that tell about me, so I decided to bring a cake to share with everyone. It was so fun! Everyone loved it, even the men and children. They now want me to teach a class on cake decorating, how fun is that!

heartbroken

At the end of August, we were heartbroken and devastated to get the news that our beautiful cousin Vanessa, serving a mission in New York, was killed in a car accident. She was a wonderful missionary and a very fun loving girl. She will be truly missed. I pray continually that her family will be comforted. I had to go to the funeral in Arizona to support my wonderful Bentley family that I love so much. It was a very long drive, but well worth it to hear the great talks at the funeral, and to give my relatives a big hug.

My first baby girl is 7 now. Happy birthday beautiful Alexa. Alexa turned 7 on August 15th. I'm so happy to have Alexa in our family. She is a joy and has always been a joy to me in my life. She is a wonderful big sister to her baby sister. She is a big helper. I cant truly express in words the love I have for my little Alexa.

My 2011 pictures where lost when my computer crashed, but my brother in law was able to recover some of our pictures. These are the ones I have of our summer fun.

We watched fireworks at Granite with all of our Bentley Family.

Every year my Aunt Elaine and Uncle Craig sing with their band and the fireworks are awesome!

It is always a fun party!

We couldn't afford to go on a family trip, so we decided to go on a "Staycation". We got a good deal on Priceline for our hotel in Springville. We got to swim and then eat pizza while we watched a movie. The next couple of days we did as many fun things as we could. Went to the movies, went out to eat and we even stayed at Grandpa and Grandma Walkers house while they were out of town.

Via didn't have the best start to her special day.

We were all in such a hurry to get into church that we left Via in the car. Curtis thought I was getting her and I thought Curtis was. The kids and I were sitting in the chapel waiting for Curtis and Via to come in. Curtis came walking in with a big smile on his face, but with no Via. His smile faded as soon as I said, "wheres Via?" Curt rushed back out to the car, luckily she wasn't crying because she had a bottle.

We think Via was trying to get back at her daddy, because she cried during the whole beautiful blessing.

Curtis likes to talk for her, so he said, "Im so sorry dad, Im so embarrassed, but what you did was unforgivable." Grandma Bentley "Grapes", said "she just wanted to bear her testimony, and no one would let her. So I said, "Ya, she is just like a Bentley and cried during her whole testimony."

Luckily she got happy and smiled for our photo shoot.

Via is such a precious baby girl. We are so happy that she is part of our family. I love everything about her. Even when she is clingy and doesn't want to let me out of her grip. I feel so blessed that there is someone that loves me so much, no matter what I look like, no matter what I do. She is an angel and my best little friend.

I love you forever baby Via, and I want to protect you from danger and saddness all of your life.

I feel so blessed that Heavenly Father allowed me to be your mother.

Almost 9 months Pregnant

Curtis did a great job taking these pictures of me. Im so glad that he enjoys taking pix and is becoming so good at it. I really wanted to get some pix of Alexa and Malakai hugging and kissing my belly, before I had the baby. They are so excited for our baby to come. I am now due in 5 days. The 9 months went by pretty fast for me, but these last two weeks have really dragged by. Ive been having false contractions for the last couple of nights. It really gets my hopes up, but when I go to bed, they go away and I get my hopes dashed. I really want to have her early. Ive never been early and thought it would be so nice to have at least one early. And to have a smaller baby would be so nice. All my babies have been pretty big in the 9 pound range. I only had one that was in the 8s. But I keep telling myself to just enjoy each moment and that she will come when the time is right. I shouldn't focus so much on my schdule and when I think it is the right time. I just got to have faith. So now, Im trying to do fun little project everyday, to keep me from getting all bored and depressed. Taking these pix yesterday was really fun for me, to get all dressed up, and then to have some fun pix to edit.

Alexa is so excited to have a little sister, and not to be the only girl anymore. I know she will be a great big sister and help her little sister through out her life. Im so happy that Alexa will have a sister. Im so grateful that I have sisters that are my best friends, and I wanted that for Alexa too.

Malakai talks to our baby everyday. And he reminds me to talk to her too. Hes so funny! He talks to her like she is already born. One day, he got my phone and was going to take a picture of my belly. So he said, "Say cheese baby!" Another day, it was really cold out and I told Malakai to put his jacket it. So he said, "Put a jacket on the baby too." He tells her everynight, "Sweet dreams baby, dont wake up too soon." It is so fun to see the excitement that all my kids have for this new little person to join our family.

I cant help but do a little photo shoot of my beautiful Alexa!

My sister Heidi and I were able to take a class the other day on how to make cute fabric flowers. Here are a few that I have made, and I love how they turned out. Im so excited to use them on my baby when I do her newborn portrait!

I am so excited for you to come my little baby Aviana! We all cant wait to see your face and have you join our family. Your due date is in a week, but you dont need to wait until then to come. We are all ready for you. We got you a carseat and cute carseat cover, a pretty swing, a cute diager bag, some soft blankets and some adorable accessories. So you can come now.

It was so fun to watch my mother-in-law, Penny Walker perform this beautiful Native American sign language to beautiful music. She did a wonderful job. It was the 40th year anniversary of BYUs Lamanite Generation. We got to enjoy a few hours of beautiful cultural dancing and music.

Little Trip to the Zoo

Damians scout group went to the zoo for a field trip and they needed me to drive, so I took all my kids with, since it was free Zoo day. We needed to take Malakai anyways because he filled up his "Poo and go to the Zoo" chart.

Big Boy Now

Malakai is a big boy now and is all potty trained. So we got to go to Chuck-E-Cheese to celebrate. "Pee and go to Chuck-E-Cheese!" He was scared to get started, but once he did he catch right on. He was so cute, he said, "I knew I could do it!" It has been so nice to not have any diapers for the last couple of month.

My Basketball Stars!

Im so glad that we finally were able to put our boys in Jr. Jazz basketball this year. It was such a wonderful experience as a mother to watch my two wonderful, handsome and talented boys doing something that they love and doing it so well. Im so happy that they have such a wonderful dad that takes the time to teach them. He spent many hours teaching them all he knows about basketball. Curtis is a very good basketball player. Dasan reminded me alot of Curtis as he played and Damian reminded me of his uncle Nate.

Both Dasan and Damian made a lot of baskets through out the whole season. They were really exciting to watch. Their coaches really liked them.

Dasan got to play with four of his friends from our ward. Isaac Woodruff, Jacob Anderson, Kaden Hazzard, and Reese Johnson.

Thanks to our wonderful family who came to support the boys. They really were happy to have you there.

Happy Birthday Dasan, Im so happy you were my first precious little baby 11 years ago. You have brought us so much joy and laughter with your funny sense of humor. I love you so much and am so proud of you. You are growing into such a handsome, smart, and kind young man.

We let Dasan have a sleepover for his birthday this year. He invited his closes friends from school and the neighborhood. It was really fun! We got to eat yummy pizza from "Village Pizza", the boys all got to go to the church and play basketball, and we ate a yummy peanut butter rice crispy treat cake. Dase got awesome presents from his friends. They got to stay up late playing games and eating treats. It was really fun!

The best thing about Christmas is seeing the excitement in my childrens faces!!! It brings back wonderful feeling from my own childhood!

Alexa and Malakai were so excited to get Pillow Pets from Santa! They asked for them everytime they saw Santa.

My boys love sports now, and they were so excited to get basketballs and basketball shoes and shorts. They are going to be playing in Jr. Jazz basketball in January.

We had a really nice Christmas Eve party with our little family! I made a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. :) It was soooooo yummy, I was proud of myself! Then we spent time together playing our new game and the kids got to open their pj present.

November and December Birthdays

Curts birthday was November 9th. I made him a simple BYU cake, and we had Kentucky Fried chicken for dinner. It was a nice relaxing night to celebrate this wonderful man being born 36 years ago. I feel so blessed to have him as my husband and best friend.

Damians birthday was December 7th. We have been so blessed to have him in our family for 9 years now. We love our sweet Damian so much! We had a nice little celebration with our little family. Dami wanted a beef roast and I made a simple chamoflauged cake. Grandpa and Grandma Walker ate dinner with us. And Grandma Bentley and Adrianne, Heidi, and Branton dropped in to tell Dami happy birthday.

Dami was reenacting this picture when he was a new born. The hospital brought him into me from the nursary in a christmas stocking. He is our little Christmas baby.

I made this Book of Mormon cake for the January birthdays, for my dad and Dasan. Lucky Dase got two cakes! I chose to do the story of Helaman and the 2000 Stripling Warriors, because it is my dads favorite Book of Mormon story and because we believe that the Stripling warriors are Dasans ancestors, through the Hopi tribe.

I made the men out of Rice Crispy treats so that my dad could eat them since he cant have wheat. This was the first time I tried this and I think it turned out great!

My dad and Dasan loved the cake and I was so happy how it turned out. It was really fun to make, but took many many hours. I dont think I will be making one that complicated for a while.

Dasan loves pizza and wanted pizza for his birthday dinner. So I decided to also give him a pizza cake. It was the funnest cake I have ever made. I love how it turned out!

Mali was trying so hard to blow out the candle, but he just couldn't do it. Poor baby! Everyone pitched in and helped him.

On January 7th, on Dasans birthday, Dasan got to get his Bear award and Damian got his Bobcat award. I got to paint their faces and received a little pin from both of them. Im so happy that my boys love going to scouts and they work really hard to receive their awards. They are really good boys, and I feel so blessed to have them in my life.

We had such a fun time at our Big Bentley Christmas party this year. I love my family!!!

My family was asked to do part of the program this year. Shanae put together this awesome little play about Jesus. I especially loved it because my kids did all the speaking parts and they did so good. Dasan was Samual the Lamanite, Damian was Nephi and Alexa was a cute modern day girl.

Also my sisters, my mom, and I were able to do this fun Christmas dance. We danced to Heidi singing "I'll I want for Christmas is you". It was so fun making this dance up and performing it.

Christmas Eve was so fun this year. We spent the evening at Grandpa and Grandma Walkers. We ate yummy food, while we watched, "Its a Wonderful life". Then we had fun taking pics and opening presents. You could tell that the kids were so excited for Christmas as they played around in their new pjs. Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma, for the wonderful presents, great food, and fun time.

Temple Square is Breathtaking!

What better way to start out our Christmas week, then seeing the Nativity scene, and imagining what it would have been like to be there and see baby Jesus. It really brought it to life to me, and I felt the spirit so strong.

I didnt even care that my fingers were frozen and becoming numb, everything looked so beautiful, that I couldn't stop taking pics. Curtis had to finally drag me away.

Our Anniversary Date was Great!

We had a really fun time on our 11th Anniversary date. We got to eat at our most favorite place, Tucanos. Then we went to the movie, The Blind Side. Awesome show, I bawled my eyes out!
It was so nice to spend some time together, talking and laughing with each other.

Christmas Retreat!

Grandpa and Grandma Walker let us stay in their home while they were in Canada for a funeral. It was such a nice little Christmas retreat for us. Since we are living with my family and don't have a place of our own. It was nice to stay in their apartment and spend time together as a family and just pretend that we were in our own home.

Curtis and the kids played in the snow and made a snowman and an igloo. We got to decorate their Christmas tree. We watched a lot of fun movies, ate home made pizza and drank a lot of hot chocolate. There is nothing better than staying home spending quality time together as a family. I just love my children, they are so much fun!

Ok, so you probably are dying to see my millions of pic I took while we were decorating the tree. Sorry, I just cant help myself. Enjoy!

Williams Christmas Party

We had a really fun Williams Christmas party this year. Aunt Denise did a wonderful job planning it. She even got Santa to come, which was a hit for most of the kids. Alexa only got close enough to Santa just to grab a bag of candy out of his hands. At least she said "thank you" as she was running away as fast as she could. So many members of our family came. It was so fun visiting with everyone. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people.

Santa is a wonderful symbol of service to our family. When my children ask me if Santa is real, I tell them the truth. That there are a lot of Santas in this world. Anyone that gives to others during Christmas is a Santa. We have so much fun make believing together about Santa coming on Christmas Eve. My children know the truth, but it does not take away from the magic and excitement of Christmas!!!

Im so happy that we have been married for 11 years now. Wow, how the time has flown by.
We have had some really wonderful times and some not so great times. But it feels good to know that we can get through anything with the Lords help and if we always try hard to work things out, and communicate.

My friend hired me to make this cake for her niece. It was such a fun little cake to make. I loved how the pearls turned out with pearl dust painted on them. And I love the ruffle. I have been wanting to make fondant look like material for a long time.

Pour Curtis had a horrible start to his birthday, on Nov. 9th. I forgot to dry his work clothes when he asked me to, so he had to go to work in wet clothes, out in the cold morning air. Then when he got back from work, he had a pounding head ache. I made him take Tylenol so he could enjoy his birthday dinner at Chuck-A-Rama. The Tylenol did its job well and he was able to enjoy the rest of the day.

The kids helped me decorate our room for Curts Bday. They also made tons of cards for their daddy that they just adore.

We went to dinner at Chuck-A-Rama with Curtis and Penny. It was delicious, like always! Curt got a gift card to Outback Steakhouse from Curtis and Penny, $20 from my mom and $20 from me.
Later on in the month, we had a Bentley family dinner for the November birthdays. Along with Curtis, it was Braden, Coden and Alyssas birthdays too. I surprised Curtis and invited his family to the dinner. He was really happy to see them. Thanks Curtis, Penny, Marie and Kaylyn for coming.

It was so fun making this Native American drum cake. One of Curts favorite things to do is sing and drum with his family's drum group. I love how the fondant looked like stretched leather.
Adrianne made Alyssas cake, so she could have a fun girly cake. Adrianne did such an amazing job. It was her first time decorating with fondant, and she was an natural. She even made the fondant herself. Amazing! We had so much fun decorating together and I think its a start of a new tradition for us.

We Love Dancing!

We had another family dance recital last month, right before Halloween. It was a blast! I sure love performing, even just for family. The kids got to do two dances this time. Bug A Boo, and Halloween Night, which are the same dances Jane taught me when I was young.

Rebecca taught us this fun Zombie dance that she had learned in High School.

Janae taught us this dance from Hairspray. It was so fast and so fun!!! Curtis and I got to do a solo in part of the dance. Curtis was so awesome to dance with me!!! He did so good! I love the pic of Curtis and I doing our little lift. I love how Curtis is looking up at me. He is just too cute!

Christy Carver taught us Hello Africa, which she remembered from High School. This one was so exciting to perform. It really challenged us, but we did it! Hurray!!!

Jane let us perform at her Relief Society "Witched day out." We painted our faces like Zombies this time and I think we really scared the women! :) They didnt know what to think about us, but we sure had fun. Jane was the witch from wicked and sang some of the songs. She did a wonderful job, and made us all cry:)

I really enjoyed making these two cakes for our October birthdays. The purse cake was for my mom and Natalie and the ghost cake was for Tyler. Can't wait for next month, its Curtis' birthday!

Spooky Halloween!!!

This year we all picked what ever spooky Halloween character we wanted.
We had a lot of fun with make-up this year.
We got to go to two Spook Allies in our neighborhood.
They were just as good as any and they were free.
Alexa and Mali got so scared though.
We also got to Trick or treat at Grandpa and Grandma Walkers
and we watched scary movies with our Bentley family.

Cub River Lodge

A couple of weeks ago, we went to one of my cousins weddings at this fun little lodge called Cub River Lodge. Its just right when you get into Idaho, in Preston. So its not too far. It was nice to just drive a couple of hours away, but still feel like we were on a nice little vacation. They have two large lodges, a couple of little cabins and a pool and hot tub. You can even go snowmobiling and horse back riding. Its just a nice place to get away and relax. So if anyone is ever interested in going there just ask me and I can get you the number to call.

I had a really nice birthday this year. I just relaxed at home all day, and had so many fun birthday wishes from family and friends. A big thanks to facebook for helping with that.

Then that night I went on a hot date with Curt to Tucanos, our favorite restaurant. We did our traditional photo shoot while waiting to eat.

After dinner I thought it would be nice to just go home and watch a movie with the kids and have candy and popcorn. They were really excited about that. They surprised me with a yummy spice cake that they all helped my mom decorate.

For our Bentley family September birthdays dinner, I made Adrianne, Clint and me a big cake. I tried a yummy chocolate cake and icing recipe, and it turned out delicious. It was kind of like a birthday present to myself, cause I had so much fun designing it and decorating it.

My high school friends and I love to get together every year for our birthdays. I love this tradition. It is always so fun to see them and catch up on whats going on in our lives. We exchange gifts every year. It is so much fun! This year I surprised them each with their own little birthday cake. They loved them! And I loved making them.

The Beauties of Salt Lake City!

A couple of weeks ago, Curtis' aunt Karen and uncle Deed, came to visit from Arizona. So we took them site seeing around Salt Lake City. They really enjoyed it, especially Temple Square. And we really enjoyed visiting with them. Aunt Karen has always been so nice to us. I have really gotten to know her through out the years and I love her so much. I cant wait to see her again.

Great Salt Lake Adventure

We really enjoyed our little trip to the Great Salt Lake, and we don't know why we never made it there before now. It was so much fun playing in the salty water and building sand castles. I of coarse had the time of my life taking millions of pictures, and I absolutely love how they all turned out.

Waterfall Hike

Curtis found this fun hike to a beautiful waterfall in Pleasant Grove, a few years ago, and he had been wanting to take us. We finally got around to it, and took some of my family.

It was a nice hike and the waterfall was so beautiful. The kids really enjoyed it. It was another fun adventure before the summers end, hopefully not the last.

Mali is a little hiker. He hiked all by himself the whole way, but took forever, cause he had to stop every few seconds to pick up a rock and throw it. It was so adorable!

Malis Breakfast

I woke up the other morning to this.

Mali was so cute, trying to make breakfast for us, in our little make shift kitchen.

He threw about three eggs into the pan. He did pretty good at separating them from the shells, but I still found little pieces in it. He even put some cheese on top of the uncooked eggs, and he dipped bread into it too.

I figured he was trying to make, what we know as Walter Eggs, or in other words, egg in the middle of bread with cheese on top.

So I decided that I better make some for my family. At least he got me to make breakfast, which I usually do not do.

Yard Sale for Alexas Birthday!

On Alexas birthday we had a yard sale at Grandma and Grandpa Walkers house. We were able to make some money for Lexis birthday. We got to go eat at Chuck-A-Rama. And then we went to the store and bought Lexi lots of presents.

While we were at the yard sale, Curtis went home and decorated the house to surprise Alexa. Isnt he so cute! He loves his little princess so much!!

Happy Birthday My Alexa Girl!

Alexa just had her birthday on August 15th and she turned 5 years old. Our baby girl is getting so big, and so very beautiful!!! She has been such a joy to our family! She is so sweet and loving, and so funny. She makes us laugh all the time. Alexa girl, thank you so much for coming to our family 5 years ago. I love you so so very much, for always and always. I hope we can stay best friends all our lives.

We had Alexas party at this new awesome restaurant called Pirate Island Pizza. It was so much fun and they were so nice. We all loved it and are definetly going back.

Cakes, cakes, cakes, I'm so obsessed with cakes!

Ok, so my new favorite thing to do is make cakes. I watch those cake making shows on TV, and now I'm hooked. Its such a fun new art medium. I love it, but now I'm eating way too much cake, and I used to hate cake. My taste buds are always changing. So strange!

So this was my first attempt at using fondant. It is definatly not perfect, but I love how it turned out. And more importantly, my two year old son, absolutly loved it. He was so excited about the suckers.

Alexas birthday was coming up and I wanted to do a beautiful cake for her, with gumpaste flowers. So this was my practice cake, and I surprised Curtis with it, when he got home from work. It was delicious, thanks to my friends Danyette and Justine, who I got the recipes from. The flowers were so fun to make!

This one was Alexas birthday cake. I really liked how it turned out. She helped me design it. She wanted butterflies, so if you can tell, I added butterflies in with the sqwiggles. And I love the touch of ribbon. It made it all come together so beautifully, and it hid my ugly mistakes:)

We had a family birthday party for all the July and August birthdays. I had left over cake and fondant from Alexas cake, so Shanae and I decided to decorate a cake. Shanae did a wonderful job of covering the cake with fondant and doing the swirls, and she even helped me make the flowers. She was a natural!

I think my family is excited about my new passion. Cake for everyone!!
