Happy Easter!

At this Easter time, I want to share my feelings about our Savior with you. How grateful I am for the Atonement and all that Jesus did for me. It feels so good to know that he loves us with more love that we can even imagine. I can't wait for the day when I can see Jesus face to face and feel the love that he has for me, more intently. I am so grateful that he was resurrected and that we all can rise again too. My goal in life is to be able to make it to the Celestial Kingdom so I can live with my Savior, my Heavenly Father, and my family, and feel the powerful feeling of love forever.

We want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. We love you all so much.

A very needed Girls Night!

I love our girls nights! This week I especially needed it. I was just feeling very overwhelmed with the responsibilities of being a mother. So sweet Curtis watched all the children for me for a couple of hours, even Mali. My mom and sisters and I, (we missed you, Natalie!) went to eat at Chili's and then went shopping for Easter. After, we all went to my house, so I could relieve Curtis. We visited and watched American Idol and ate candy. The time went by too fast, there's never enough time, when it comes to us visiting. We love to talk and analyze everything. We even started analyzing the candy we were eating, thanks to Mom. :) That was so funny. But we had a lot of fun visiting. I have the best Mom and sisters in the world! (I consider Adrianne my sister, not just sister-in-law.)

Biggest David Archuleta fans!

We are the biggest David Archuleta fans! If any of you don't know what I'm talking about you have got to watch American Idol this year. He is the next "American Idol"! And the great thing about him, along with being an amazing singer, is that he is very LDS. His whole goal in being the next American Idol is that he will be able to share the gospel with the world. He also has a goal of going on a mission. Once he even gave $10,000 to tithing, because he won $100,000 on Star Search. What a great example he is to the young people of this world. We are so crazy, we have recorded his performances and we watch them over and over again. We cant wait for his CD to come out. You can just feel his sweet spirit through his music, he is able to touch peoples spirits with his amazing voice. There is also another Mormon on the show. Brooke White is one of the best also. Her performances have been really great and consistent so far. We feel that Heavenly Father has a hand in this. He needs righteous people to be good examples to the world. So hopefully everyone can check him out on Tuesday nights, and vote for him. We have got to support wonderful people that are trying to make a difference in the world. What better way to touch peoples souls than through music. Damian wants to be on American Idol when he grows up. He is our little singer. His voice is so adorable. We want to put him in voice lessons, so he can develop his talent. Oh and now Dasan and Alexa want to sing too. We will have to have them all take voice lessons. They all love David, and they like to sing right along with him. I'm so glad that they have an "American Idol" to look up to that knows what life is all about, and is using his talents to build up the gospel of our Savior. I pray that David will be able to stay strong and not let the bad side of showbiz get to him.

Starting Public School

We decided that it was time to send Dasan to public school. Malakai and Alexa take too much of my time and attention, making it impossible for me to give Dasan the adequate education that he needs. He loves to learn and catches on to new things really fast, so we felt that he would be just fine in public school, even though he has never been. We were so happy to meet Dasan's awesome teacher last Friday, and hear that Dasan is doing really well. She was surprised to hear that he was a home schooler, because he did so well socially, and fit right in with the other children. She said that they all like him. What a relief! She also said that he was right on with math, and only a little behind in reading. But over all she said that we did a great job in home schooling him. I was so happy to hear that, because I was a little scared that he would be behind. We feel really good with the whole experience so far. Our neighbor girl, Kira, walks with Dasan to and from school, which is so nice for me. Dasan is loving it so much. These pictures are of Dasan on his first day of school. It was crazy hair day; thats why his hair is sticking straight up, it's not because he was scared. :) He sure looks handsome, don't you think? And so grown up. The secretary at the school, thought he looked too old to be in 2nd grade. She thought Damian was the one that we were signing up to be in 2nd grade. It's funny how tall my kids are. Were do they come from? They will probably "grow up" to be short. ;)

Bobcat Award

Dasan received his Bobcat at his Blue and Gold Banquet. It was a fun night. We got to eat yummy Chinese Food, and learn about the Chinese culture. Then all the kids got to be part of the Chinese Dragon. The Scout leaders did a great job with the Banquet. Also Dasan and all the boys in the Wolf den sang a song and did a skit. Dasan did a great job reading his lines, even though I never went through it with him. It has been so good for Dasan to be in Scouts. He is a very active and social boy, so its been nice to have him involved in more things. I can't believe that I'm already a mom to a boy that is a Scout. I'm getting old! I try not to think about the fact that I'm almost 30, but Dasan reminds me everyday, just by how grown up hes getting. I really enjoy watching him, as he participates in big boy activities.

Dasan Loves Scouts!

Dasan was so excited to start Scouts as soon as he turned 8. He finished his requirements for his Bobcat within the first week that he got his Scout book. These pictures were taken at his first Pack meeting. He would have gotten his Bobcat that night, but we forgot to tell his Den leader in time. It is so fun for me to see my little boy growing into such a handsome young man. He looks so handsome in his Scout uniform.

Snow White and the 5 Dwarfs

I just finished these pages of Halloween last year. I loved how our costumes turned out. I was so excited that Curtis dressed up. I just had to show everyone. Who knows if he will ever dress up again. It was so fun!
