New Hairdo

I decide to try dark brown hair, almost black. I think I really like it on me. What do you all think?

My Family

I am so grateful for my family. I have been so blessed. They are my best friends; I can talk to them about anything. I'm so grateful to my parents for teaching us what is right and keeping us away from things that would harm us. There is so much sadness and so much evil in this world. I am so grateful that I have been sheltered from all of that. I came from a whole line of great people. And I have so many wonderful family members surrounding me. My parents, my sisters and brothers, my grandparents, my aunts and uncles and my cousins. Thanks to all of you for your wonderful example and your loving care and concern. I am so blessed to have all of you in my life. Heavenly Father must surely love me, to send down so many blessings from above.

Tylers Treasure Hunt

Tyler planned a fabulous treasure hunt for the kids during our family reunion. He created some awesome clues. I don't know how he came up with them, they were very creative. One clue lead us to the park, where we took a break to play on the playground and take some cute pictures. Then we headed back home to find the treasure. The kids all got a little toy and some treats. It was so fun! Good job Tyler!

Swimming with Family

Grandma holding Mali

Todd and Adrianne with their baby Gabriel.

Baby Gabriel

For our Bentley family reunion this year we went swimming at Heidi and Brian's new pool at their condo. It was fun, the kids sure had a blast. Most of us just stayed in the hot tub, because the pool was freezing. The kids didn't seem to notice though.

On the way home, there was the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen. It was a double rainbow, and we could see the ends of the rainbow on both ends, but unfortunately there was no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

The Joy of Motherhood

I just wanted to write my thoughts about Elder Uchdorfs talk in womens conference. I really enjoyed his talk. He taught us that to find joy we need to serve and create. I have come to find out for myself that this is true. Being a mother I was able to be a part of the most miraculous of all creations. Helping create the bodies of Heavenly Fathers beautiful spirit children. That has brought so much joy into my life. More than I ever thought possible. Also being a mother gives us the opportunity to serve, being a mother is service. So many times I have felt that I don't do enough service, but I have come to realize that being a good mother is the best service I can do. Having children has inspired new passions in my life. I have realized my love of photography and scrapbooking because of my children. I truly have a passion for creation.

I love this quote from President Hinckley, which says, “Of all the joys of life, none other equals that of happy parenthood. Of all the responsibilities with which we struggle, none other is so serious. To rear children in an atmosphere of love, security and faith is the most rewarding of all challenges. The good result from such efforts becomes life’s most satisfying compensation.”

My 30th birthday!

I just turned the big 30 on September 23. I can't believe it. I feel my 20s went by too fast. My birthday was also the day Curtis proposed to me, ten years ago. So I thought it would be great to take some pictures of me and us. Curtis was so kind to take these pictures for my birthday wish. We also went out to eat at my favorite fast food restaurant. "Panda Express". Then we went to see the movie I have been dying to see. "Hancock" with Will Smith. It was so interesting. Curtis was so fun that night. We really had a great time together. So even though I turned 30, I felt young again, like when we were dating.
